Why Pay More!? Value Menu is a subset of Taco Bell's menu introduced in May 2008 consisting of items that are available at a reduced price of either 79¢, 89¢ or 99¢. The Why Pay More!? Value Menu was updated again in April 2009. This was changed due to addition of new items and the discontinuing of the following items: Big Taste Taco, 7 Layer Dip Nachos, 5 Layer Dip Nachos, Spicy Chicken Burrito, and Spicy Chicken Soft Taco.
Controversy
On July 23, 2008, rapper 50 Cent filed a lawsuit against Taco Bell, claiming that he had not granted the company permission to use him name in an ad campaign for the Why Pay More!?
