BajaBlast

Mountain Dew: Baja Blast is a soft drink served exclusively at Taco Bell since 2004. The drink is formulated to go best with Taco Bell's food. In 2014, ten years after its first release, it has been brought out of Taco Bell exclusivity and been available in bottles and cans for a limited time. It has been brought back every year ever since, except 2017.

The restaurant also serves a freeze of the drink, which has been introduced on January 31, 2013. A diet version of the drink has been released in late 2013, but was discontinued in 2015. In 2019, a zero sugar version of the drink was released, which first came to cans and bottles in 2020 for a limited time.

Description[]

"Like drinking a real hurricane.

We’re obviously speculating here, since even trying to drink an intense tropical storm would basically be impossible.

Even if you tried, you’d probably start coughing, fall over from the force, and sprain your wrist or something. But let's just imagine what it would be like for a moment. For starters, if any human were to knowingly drink a real hurricane, let’s call it Josh (since they for some reason have human names), they’d have to already be a superhuman with comic book strength, mass, and audacity. So, if you’re in a position to even CONSIDER the possibility of drinking a hurricane named Josh, you’re probably one of the greatest human beings on the planet, which is going to make you feel pretty awesome. That alone basically completes the Mountain Dew® Baja Blast™ metaphor; you’re going to feel really awesome. Now let’s take it one step further; if you’re a thirsty superhuman, and you know Josh is coming straight for land, you’re also going to feel some serious adrenaline. No matter how superhuman you are, it’s still a real hurricane; one seriously volatile sip of water. Kind of like how the Mountain Dew® Baja Blast™ is full of Mountain Dew’s classic, backflip-inducing energy; you’re going to be stoked for action. inally, Josh comes along and you gulp it down with the thirst of 10,000 men. People are totally going to be all like “Whoa! That super person just drank that hurricane named Josh to save all of us. Let’s celebrate about it!” So you’re going to start high-fiving everything; again, a lot like the Mountain Dew® Baja Blast™. You’re going to feel so awesome and energized that no one is walking away without at least one five.

So really, it’s a lot less like drinking a real hurricane, and a lot more like being awesome enough of a super human to successfully drink a real hurricane. Either way, it taste really good."
