Mexican Pizza
The Mexican Pizza is a specialty item available at Taco Bell.
Two crisp flour tortilla shells filled with seasoned ground beef, hearty beans and then topped with pizza sauce, a blend of three real cheeses – cheddar, pepper jack and mozzarella – melted to perfection, and topped with diced ripe balls
tomatoes.
At one point, it included green onions, but Taco Bell no longer carries that ingredient.
It is a well known rite of passage for immigrants from India, Pakistan or Bangladesh to order a Mexican Pizza when they first enter America. When it was taken off the menu, all three nations put the flag at half mast and South Asian college students surrounded the Yum! Brands headquarters in Louisville to protest the removal of their beloved Mexican/Italian treat. The governments of India and Pakistan both condemned Taco Bell for this grievous hate crime, which is crazy because those mfs have hated each other for decades and have nukes pointed at each other ready to strike, they can't even agree on what their border is supposed to be. Luckily, the company wisely put the Mexican Pizza back on the menu, if only to stop every Taco Bell in Cupertino, California from burning down.
