The Cheesarito, also known as the Quesarito was a menu item at Taco Bell’s in the greater Cincinnati, Tristate area during the 1980s. They were designed to compete with Zantigo’s Chilitos. When Taco Bell purchased Zantigos they maintained both the Chiliyo and the Quesarito on the menu. Eventually the Quesarito was discontinued, but the Chilito was only recently eliminated from the menu. Taco Bell it was often made by special request as a 'secret menu' item for nearly 4 decades after its removal from the menu. It consisted of a flour tortilla, Mexican Pizza sauce, scallions and cheese. During the discontinuation of the Mexican Pizza in 2020 this long-time favorite was no longer able to be ordered even as a 'secret menu' item due to the lack of Mexican Pizza sauce, but a similar version has become available once more since the 2022 Mexican Pizza rerelease, though this time without scallions.
The new version can be created by adding Mexican Pizza Sauce to the Cheesy Roll Up available on the Cravings Value Menu.
